What is "organic apparel"? Cotton is the second most heavily sprayed crop in the world (after coffee). Five of the top nine pesticides used on cotton in the U.S. (cyanide, dicofeol, naled, propargite, and trifluralin) are known cancer-causing chemicals. All nine are classified by the E.P.A. as Category I and Category II - the most dangerous chemicals. In addition, chemical dyes frequently include the toxic heavy metals chrome, lead, copper, zinc and nickel, and sometimes contain known suspected carcinogens. Our clothing is made from 100% cotton that is free from harmful herbicides and pesticides, and has not been bleached. Who can benefit from organic clothing? Who likes our clothing? What forms of payment do you accept? Where is this company based? Can I contact Esperanza Threads by phone? How long before I receive my order? |
